Brazing brass and copper alloys

Cheap alloys for general utilization with a higher melting temperature than silver alloys. They are used to join iron, steel, copper and its alloys, nickel and its alloys. This alloys can be use either for brazing or soldering, with liquid flux provided by the flame of the torch from a special vaporizer.

Copper is mainly used in rings format or preformed for oven brazing in protect atmosphere. They are available in in different formats: rods, wires, foils, preformed, powder and pastes.

BRAZING BRASSES

Alloy generally applied on steel, nickel and their alloys. They can be used with all brazing processes including flame, provided they are slightly reducing.
Not suitable for furnace brazing in a controlled atmosphere.
We recommend avoiding strong overheating during the brazing procedure in order to avoid zinc evaporation.
